2020/2021 TOURNAMENT SERIES

Play in a minimum of five qualifying events for eligibility in the championship event.  Flights will be based on the number of entries at each event and all prize allocations will be evenly dispersed amongst the flights based upon the quantity of players within them.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:  Quota Points
 

HANDICAP:   Each player’s quota points will be tracked and player handicaps will be adjusted after EACH event.  Quota points will be adjusted to go DOWN a maximum of 2 points (per event) and UP a maximum of 4 points (per event) based upon your previous month’s points.  However, in “extreme circumstances”, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to make additional handicap adjustments as necessary and at its sole discretion. The calculation for all players “Quota Points” for the Championship Event on April 12, 2021 will be calculated by taking the average of the five (5) highest point totals of each player playing in the Championship Event. All averages that fall .5 or higher will be rounded up and .4 and below will be rounded down.


TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEE **:  $33 tournament entry fee includes 18-hole green fee, cart fee, lunch, prizes and tax for all events May to December. Then, January to March the rate will be $35 including tax.  There will be $2 from each tournament entry fee that will go toward additional prizes in the championship event.  All players will be accepted into each event on a “first come first serve basis” until the field is full.  The Championship event will now be held in April 8, and to qualify for the championship event you must have played in at least 5 events. The Championship Event will be moved to Southern Woods and there will be a sit-down lunch buffet for all the participants that playing play the Championship event.  All prizes will be awarded at the completion play during the Lunch buffet.  The Cost of the Championship event will $42 this will include golf, prizes and the Buffet Lunch.     

TOURNAMENT ENTRY FORMS: Tournament entry forms will be available at WorldWoods.com a few weeks prior to each event and in the Pro Shop at World Woods Golf Club.  Entry forms will also be E-mailed to all Woods Card holders whose Email addresses are on file.
 

PRIZES:  The winnings from the tournament series August 2020 – April 2021 will be issued in the form of a gift certificates that will be redeemable for merchandise only at the Pro Shops at World Woods Golf Club, Southern Woods Golf Club and Sugarmill Woods Country Club. These gift certificates are available for pick up at the World Woods Proshop. All gift certificates must be redeemed for merchandise prizes no later than June 30, 2021.
